Reviews
Such an amazing experience each and every time. The cuisine in always evolving and constantly surprising. Highly recommend. Staff is so on point. Wine list is great and drinks are delicious. Thank you again to the team at Rootstalk!
10/10 I wish I could rate it higher. My boyfriend and I had the most amazing time here. Our server, bless his heart, was the sweetest guy and gave us a ton of tips and felt very genuine. I felt like I never needed to eat again after having this amazing meal. HIGHLIGHTS: You have to get the FRENCH ONION SOUP! The steak and the mussels were amazing as well. The croissant bread pudding was the cherry on top. Definitely coming back when we return. Although it’s a tad expensive, the portions were great and it was 100% worth it
What an amazing dining experience! I've traveled worldwide and count this as one of the best meals I've ever eaten. I selected the 7 Course Chef's Choice. Such wonderful flavors, textures, and unique pairings. See photos for the menu selections and puctures of the dishes served. The chef at Rootstalk is magnificent, and this venue should not be missed!
What an amazing restaurant! We went for my husband’s birthday and enjoyed every minute of our experience. We ordered the 7 course tasting menu with wine pairings and sat at the chef’s table. The staff allowed our 6 yr old son to sit with us and watch the chef’s create amazing plates. Each dish tasted delicious and the wine paired well with each course. We were thrilled to support such a wonderful local restaurant.
If you love innovative food, book a table at Rootstalk. My wife and I were able to walk in just before 6 p.m. on a Saturday night in October and get a seat in their basement level. Here’s our experience.
1) Food: To feed the two of us, we ordered one too many dishes. (We got a to-go box with the leftovers). We were warned that portions were small, but even the starters were healthy portions.
Their menu changes seasonally, but under the fall menu, we ordered the shrimp salad, beet salad, butternut squash soup, the potatoes, the carrots, and the squash main. Everything was beautifully prepared and flavorful. My favorite was the soup and the two salads.
For dessert, we ordered the goat cheese cheesecake and wow. It’s the best cheesecake I’ve had and may ever have.
2) Drinks: Their menu includes wine by the glass and bottle, cocktails, and beer. A sommelier helps guide you through the wine list if needed. The Riesling was very unique.
3) Service: It was impeccable from start to finish. Every staff member was genuinely kind. At the end, manager proactively comped our dessert because he thought the timing in between our dishes was slight off. (He was right but it wasn’t a big deal.)
4) Price: For excellent food with leftovers to take home, we paid $200. That’s not bad at all!
5) Space: It’s in a little house along the Main Street. The inside is beautiful with two levels.
Rootstalk feels like a welcoming home. The waitress and waiter were all attentive and knowledgeable in the food that was brought over. We had the tasting 5 course meal and it was a pleasure. I highly recommend it as with the meal came an interaction with the staff and the food had a great interesting taste that played with our sensations.
I'm not hard to please, but the food exceeded my expectations. Every bite is thought out and cohesive....absolutely delicious. The staff is very attentive, my drink was always full. Awesome food, great experience. Will definitely make it a point to come back!
Took an hour for entrees but worth the wait. To be fair, the server warned us and we did not order starters as we had snacks earlier. Pork tenderloin was melt in your mouth. NY Strip was a small portion but excellent tasting. Tender. Medium rare of course.
